FMP _ FMP - Brief :

H After flicking through an art book i came across Ed Ruscha, in particular it was his type paintings which i found really interesting. In a whole most of the images create mystery due to them being blurred or hazy, an effect you cannot create to this standard without doing some painting But this made me think about my project and how obvious it is i began to think what if i didnt make it so obvious?

FMP _ FMP - Brief :

Here is my idea, the letter is rough but towards a final piece throughout the next month this will be my anchor and idea towards what i want to produce towards my show, as other options towards what i want to do are becoming slightly clearer i feel as though i have something to work with.

where next?

FMP _ FMP - Brief :

Been looking at ways in which i can portray black type onto white lettering in a clean cut way, the options are Printing onto the wood professionally, transfer print and decal transfers.

Money with professionally printing onto wood, will it look good?

Transfer printing may look crap and not give me the clean deep type i need.

Decal may and will work its doing the technique correctly within the next few days i will be testing all of these methods to distinguish which i shall use towards my final piece.

Main _ Idea

FMP _ FMP - Brief :

Finally had a break in the right direction which was typographic blocks, built from the wall which promotes the white on white factor to my idea, basically the relationship between myself and my father would be shown through white type, then over the top my love towards my mother in small black type looking into printing on wood and vinyl on a large scale really loving and getting into my 3D sessions. Here was a short test with my orignal letters to see what they would look like on a flat surface, i tried perspex but the lettering started to look really nice so the next step is to try and get some form of black type onto these.
